چکیده

This paper presents a new Green’s function-based type curves for analyzing rate transient data from multi-fractured horizontal wells in unconventional gas reservoirs. Type curve analysis has been extensively employed as an inverse modeling approach to determine key reservoir/hydraulic-fracture properties well original gas-in-place based on recorded production data. Several studies were conducted the generation of wells; however, development able rigorously incorporate nonlinearities associated with flow continuously model sequence regimes experienced such remains be accomplished. In this work, are generated via method (GFM) which proven capable surpass some existing limitations wells. An proposed estimate contacted-gas-in-place through under scenarios where boundary-dominated is not available analyst. The methodology consistently provides reliable estimates reservoir/fracture properties, and contacted gas-in-place, verified implementation 36 case studies.

Efficient simulation of hydraulic fractured wells in unconventional reservoirs

Reservoir simulators remain essential tools for improved reservoir management in order to optimize hydraulic fracturing design in unconventional low permeability reservoirs. However, the commonly-used simulator requires too much computational efforts for the description of local phenomena in the vicinity of the hydraulic fractures, and is practically infeasible for field applications, due to la...

Performance Model for Vertical Wells with Multi-stage Horizontal Hydraulic Fractures in Water Flooded Multilayer Reservoirs

For the characteristics of horizontal fractures in shallow low-permeability oil layers after hydraulic fracturing in multilayer reservoirs, horizontal fractures are taken equivalent to an elliptical cylinder with the reservoir thickness using the equivalent permeability model; then, upon the elliptic seepage theory, the seepage field which has led by a vertical well with horizontal fractures is...

Predicting Productivity of Multiple-Fractured Horizontal Gas Wells

In low-permeability gas reservoirs, horizontal wells have been used to increase the reservoir contact area, and hydraulic fracturing has been further extending the contact between wellbores and reservoirs. This paper presents an approach to evaluate horizontal well performance for fractured or unfractured gas wells, and a sensitivity study of gas well performance in low permeability formation. ...

Rate Decline Analysis of Vertically Fractured Wells in Shale Gas Reservoirs

Based on the porous flow theory, an extension of the pseudo-functions approach for the solution of non-linear partial differential equations considering adsorption-desorption effects was used to investigate the transient flow behavior of fractured wells in shale gas reservoirs. The pseudo-time factor was employed to effectively linearize the partial differential equations of the unsteady flow r...
